Product Introduction

HDPE (high-density polyethylene) geomembrane with raised particles is a special geomembrane with regularly or irregularly distributed raised particles on one or both sides through a special process (usually heating, pressing or extrusion) on a smooth HDPE geomembrane substrate. This design gives it unique performance and advantages over ordinary smooth HDPE geomembranes.

Core Features:
1. Significantly Increase Friction Coefficient:
This is the primary design purpose of the raised dot particles. The particle structure greatly enhances the mechanical interlocking force and friction between the geomembrane and adjacent materials (such as geotextiles, sand, gravel, geonets, concrete slabs, or even another geomembrane).
In slope applications (such as landfill slopes, artificial lake banks, heap leach pad slopes, and tailings dam slopes), it can effectively resist the sliding force of the cover or protective layer, significantly reduce the risk of interface slippage, and greatly improve slope stability. 

2. Enhanced drainage capacity: The granular protrusions form tiny void channels between the geomembrane and the overlying materials (such as geotextiles or gravel protective layers). These channels allow water or gases (such as landfill-generated biogas) to drain more smoothly laterally along the membrane surface, preventing the accumulation of water or gases at the interface to form water heads or gas pressures. This reduces the adverse effects on the stability of the geomembrane (such as buoyancy and blisters) and potential leakage risks. 

3. Improving Construction Safety and Convenience:
The surface of the particles provides a better foothold for construction workers, significantly reducing the risk of slipping when walking or working on the membrane, thereby enhancing construction safety. 

4. Maintain the excellent basic properties of HDPE: 
High mechanical strength: Good tensile strength, tear strength and puncture strength, capable of withstanding certain laying stress and usage load. 

5. Protection of the base material:
The raised particles can, to a certain extent, act as a buffer layer, reducing the direct impact and puncture damage to the HDPE base material from sharp objects (such as gravel and crushed stones) during construction or use.
