Three-dimensional vegetation net slope protection refers to a new technology that uses active plants in combination with engineering materials such as geosynthetics to construct a protective system with self-growing capacity on the slope surface, and stabilizes the slope through the growth of plants. According to the topography, soil type and regional climate characteristics of the slope, a layer of geosynthetics is covered on the slope surface and various plants are planted in a certain combination and spacing. Through the growth activities of plants, the purpose of root reinforcement and stem-leaf erosion prevention is achieved. After ecological slope protection technology treatment, a dense vegetation cover can be formed on the slope surface, and an interwoven root system can be formed in the surface soil layer, effectively inhibiting the erosion of the slope by rainstorm runoff, increasing the shear strength of the soil, reducing pore water pressure and soil self-weight, thereby significantly improving the stability and anti-erosion ability of the slope.
The three-dimensional vegetation net slope protection technology integrates the advantages of geonets and plant slope protection, playing a role of composite slope protection. When the vegetation coverage rate on the slope reaches over 30%, it can withstand the erosion of light rain, and when the coverage rate reaches over 80%, it can withstand the erosion of heavy rain. When the plants grow vigorously, the resistant flow velocity of the slope can reach 6m/s, which is more than twice that of ordinary grass. The existence of geonets has a good effect on reducing the evaporation of soil moisture on the slope and increasing the infiltration volume. At the same time, as the geonet material is black polyethylene, it has the function of absorbing heat and keeping warm, which can promote seed germination and be beneficial to plant growth.
3.construction method:
Firstly, carry out slope treatment. Remove all the debris and rocks on the slope, and fill and compact the low-lying areas to make the slope surface smooth.
Secondly, lay the three-dimensional vegetation net. Lay the three-dimensional vegetation net along the slope from top to bottom, ensuring a smooth connection between the net and the slope. During the laying process, the three-dimensional net should extend 40-80 cm into the soil and be compacted. Additionally, use U-shaped steel bars with a diameter of 6 mm or larger to fix the three-dimensional net, with the spacing approximately 1.5-2.5 meters, and use 8# U-shaped iron nails or bamboo nails for auxiliary fixation.
Next, carry out soil covering. Uniformly cover the three-dimensional vegetation net with soil to ensure that the net package is completely covered, until no empty areas are present, and the soil thickness is no less than 12 mm. Then, mix the fertilizer, growth hormone, binder, and moisture retention agent in a certain proportion and evenly sprinkle them on the surface. The fertilizer usually includes compound fertilizers with a ratio of nitrogen:phosphorus:potassium = 15:15:15 or nitrogen:phosphorus:potassium = 10:8:7, and organic matter containing nitrogen, with a fertilizer amount of approximately 30-50 g per square meter.
Subsequently, carry out spraying and seeding. Mix the grass seeds (sprayed at about 25 grams per square meter) with the adhesion agent, wood fibers, fertilizer, growth hormone, moisture retention agent, and water in a certain proportion and stir to form an evenly mixed liquid. Spray it evenly onto the slope surface using a hydraulic sprayer.
Then, cover with non-woven fabric. After the grass planting construction is completed, cover the slope surface with non-woven fabric to retain moisture and reduce the erosion of rainwater on the seeds, promoting seed growth. If the temperature is too high, no cover is required to prevent the occurrence of diseases and pests.
Finally, carry out maintenance and management. After the grass planting construction is completed, regular maintenance is required until the lawn is established. When the grass grows to about 5 cm, the non-woven fabric can be removed.
